Bruce Labrador Retriever Adult Male in Sanford, Florida

My story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bruce was previously adopted from PRBJ and found himself back here after he scratched a child and the family felt that he was no longer safe to have. Bruce unfortunately was returned extremely overweight and will now need to join Weight Watchers and find a new home where they can help him on his weight loss journey. This extra-large boy loves to walk and is great on the leash so his new family would need to have lots of time to take him out for his exercise.  Bruce also loves to snuggle and be a couch potato.  Due to his size, we are recommending that the home that does not have kids or that they are older kids to ensure no one gets hurt.Dog For  a Day 3/20/20021 We started the day with a nice walk along the Riverwalk in Sanford. Bruce was so excited to get out and walked with purpose but never pulled me out of exhaustion. He, like most dogs, would get excited to see the birds and pull when they were near. After a few miles walking around, we went downtown and walked alongside the humans and other dogs. He did great! We came across a pitbull that looked similar to him, and he was so excited and played on the sidewalk. We came across a small dog, and he was in 7th heaven meeting them. All the humans we met were smothered with kisses and he got lots of rubs and pets! I decided to stop at The Breezeway for lunch, and he sat very politely next to me as we hung out. He didn't once bark at people or dogs who walked by. Bruce got some loving from a very sweet 2/3 year old girl and was perfectly gentle with her. We walked through, what I am guessing, was a small farmers market and he was a little more of a 'bull in a china shop' as he wanted to smell and look at everything, not having a care in the world that he might knock something down. We then took a 10 min drive to a Woofgang Bakery, and he did great in the car. He was a back seat rider and spent most of the time laying down while he was back there. All in all, he is a great car dog! Our only small mishap was with any white fluffy dogs we happen to come across. He seemed to get a little growly towards them, which was unlike his behavior with every other dog we met.    At the end of the day, he was worn out and took a nice nap in the back seat as I drove him home.     ALSO PLEASE LOOK AT THE VIDEO OF BRUCES DAY OUT
