William was adopted from us as a young puppy and returned due to a elderly family memeber moving into the home, william was just too much energy for them. This is what his owner had to say about him:
William Shakespeare is a sweetie.  He is still very much a puppy, and we call him by the nickname 'Shakes' a lot, because it seems he never stops moving, except when he is ready for sleep or needs his quiet time.  He loves to run and zoom around the backyard at full speed.

Shakes is leary of the pool, and does not go in it (even with a life jacket, he wants nothing to do with swimming).  He also is most comfortable at home.  He can walk on a leash and doesn't pull, but is very nervous about being out and about.  We've tried working with him, but he may freezes like a statue.  Generally, to get him into a store, or the vet, I have to carry him in.

He is not dog or cat aggressive.  We have an extra kennel in the living room, which if he wants he curls up in.  It was originally for the kitties as a hiding hole, but he found it and likes to curl up in it.  If a cat is already in there, he will not harass them.  He thinks every dog is his friend and will want to play with them.  He hasn't met a dog he doesn't like.  He will, however, steel the cat's food, even if it's on a counter.  He thinks you aren't looking and up he goes.

He does sleep in a kennel at night.  He is very good with his command 'Go to your room'.  He does not sleep with me, as he won't settle down and it's hard to sleep when he's so excited and wants to run and play.

No food aggression.  In fact, he is very gentle with taking snacks.  Shakes is very treat motivated.
He is very hyper, which is to be expected of a puppy.  He gets so excited and jumps.  He only jumps on people at home, never outside of home.

He is great with the 'sit' command (using the hand signal of a flat palm up & combined voice command).  He is still working on the stay with a follow-up of come and usually does really well with it.  Though he can get distracted with his training, he has never run away when given a command.  In his excitement of running in the yard, he will be a puppy and not always want to go inside, even if it is raining.

He loves being outside and able to run freely around the backyard.  He will run and run and run.  You can tell that if he could do anything in the world, it would be run every day.  Admittedly, as soon as he gets back inside, the house is his trampoline for a few minutes before he will settle down.

He is completely house trained, and has no accidents.

He does not tear up anything inside, but likes to 'dig' into a blanket in his kennel to sleep.  Other than taking a nap in the summer sun, he has only slept for me in his kennel.

He plays with toys.  Toys last him a log time.  He loves tug-of-war (especially with another dog).  His favorite thing though is to have a nice bone to chew on to fall asleep with.  He is not protective though of it, and if someone takes it, he will look lost.  He has not eaten a single child's toy, not even a barbie.

He is generally quiet, but will let you know he wants to go out potty.  He sounds a bit overwhelming when playing with other dogs, but that is nothing but play.

He eats Nature's Recipe, but will eat any food you put in his bowl.  He has not been fed table scraps.  He gets 2 1/2 cups twice a day, but we are increasing that as he seems to be on the thin side.  The vet said we can look into giving him supplements, but he getting all his nutrients and is healthy, he just burns off everything very quickly.
